well, today has been kinda stinky... had some major set backs... i'll explain on the way...
first coat of paint. the gloss paint really makes flaws stick out. i have quite a bit more work to do on the back.
i got most of the sms cart slot done. i had to cut the remaining 2 pieces to fit properly. all i have left is to figure out the spacing for 2 screws to hold it together.
i actually painted this a while ago. just thought i'd finally show the pic of the hot pink on the inside of the bottom piece.
top shot showing the cart slot. woo hoo!
so, this is where things started to go badly... i got excited and decided i wanted to screw the front and half together to see how it all looked! low and behold, look what happened...
yeah... the screw post snapped off... guess it's better to know now than the day the comp ends... anyway, i'll have to go and reinforce all of the screw posts on the front half of the case. shouldn't be hard, it just takes time.
the decal for the buttons. i have no clue if that's the right shade of gray, but i'm cutting it out so that not much of the gray will actually remain.
and the real bugger... this is actually the 3rd of this decal i've printed. first, it took hours to produce. then, my first attempt to put it on the case... failed... miserably. i wasn't thinking when i did it. i had already cut out the screen hole. and that made it impossible to keep flat while pulling it out of the water. it just all curled up on itself. i printed it again, without thinking, exactly the same. this one is the final print. hopefully i'll be able to get it on tomorrow.
i just feel like i didn't get anything done today... *sigh...*
